Biography


Dr. Jeffrey P. Halvorson is a native of Grand Rapids where he was raised and currently resides with his wife and two children. Both his undergraduate degree (B.S. ’79) and dental degree (D.D.S. ’83) he received from the University of Michigan. After seven years of practicing general dentistry in the Grand Rapids area, he discovered what he enjoyed the most, helping patients save their teeth. Dr. Halvorson returned to school to pursue a specialty degree in Endodontics and received his Master of Science from the University of Michigan in 1992. Since that time, he has been a partner with this Endodontic practice.

Dr. Halvorson holds professional memberships with: American Association of Endodontists, Michigan Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association (where he has chaired several committees and has been elected a Delegate to the House of Delegates), Michigan Dental Association Foundation (Director), West Michigan District Dental Society (where he was on the Board for a number of years), and Kent County Dental Society. Dr. Halvorson has been an examiner for the Michigan State Board of Dentistry’s Endodontic Licensing Committee for many years. He has also been inducted into the membership of the Honorary Societies of the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fouchard Academy.
